Vladislav Pozdnyakov

Vladislav Pozdnyakov is a founder and a leader of a far-right internet men’s movement “Male State” which declares the ideas of patriarchy and nationalism. His supporters are known for harassing LGBT people and women.

Pozdnyakov’s citizenship is Russian. About his father nothing is known, Vladislav wrote that his father whether Montenegrin, Serbian or Italian, on the page of Wikipedia with a link to the page “VKontakte” of Pozdnyakov said that in the metric instead of his father’s name was written his maternal grandfather. His mother Olga moved from Kazakhstan to Balakovo in the Saratov region, where she remarried and had three daughters, now aged 16 to 23. Vladislav’s stepfather is a pensioner, and his mother takes care of the household. Vladislav has strong bond with his mother.

In Balakovo, Vladislav graduated from High School №25. He was thin and silent person. After high school the young man entered the Balakovo Medical College and worked as a paramedic. Before graduation he had a conflict with the leadership of the college, which caused him to drop out. According to [Radio Liberty](https://www.svoboda.org/a/30654316.html), he has never been officially employed anywhere. Pozdnyakov preferred the gym and the Internet: he began advertising himself as a fitness consultant, developing nutrition and training programs online.

At first he tried to build his career as an opposition bloger. He checked local state tenders and broken roads (no one was interested in that either), and then he found a new enemy – women. In 2016, following in the footsteps of the popular “PRO-SH” online community (“about whores”) Pozdnyakov created the “Male State” on “Vkontakte”. His main idea was [earning money](https://moloko.plus/takeafapalready) on right-wing auditory with “content about whores” who were shooting in porn or cheated. At the same time Pozdnyakov also promoted a right-wing political agenda: against the current government, corruption, oligarchs and the military draft, as well as migration and women in power, for patriarchal values and even the vice police. “Male State” celebrate Hitler’s birthday, rejoice in Stalin’s death and are proud of victory in World War II, praise the United States (especially under Donald Trump’s administration), complain about lecherous Russian women and the degenerating Russian nation. They call their ideology “national patriarchy”.

On September 28, 2018, Pozdnyakov’s rented apartment in Nizhny Novgorod was searched, and he himself was arrested for five days for hooliganism. On October 5, he was charged with inciting hatred against women (Article 282, Part 1), he was sent under house arrest, but two weeks later the preventive measure was changed, Pozdnyakov spent two months in pre-trial detention. On December 21 of the same year, the Soviet District Court of Nizhny Novgorod sentenced him to two years of suspended imprisonment. On March 21, 2019, the same Soviet court overturned the sentence because of partial decriminalization of Article 282.

Currently all “Male State” accounts on VK were banned and Pozdnyakov moved his activity on telegram-channels https://t.me/doktorvladi and https://t.me/butylka1488. Pozdnyakov left Russia in one month after release from prison in May 2019. His current location is unknown – he claimed to live in Poland, Ukraine and even Georgia. He even faked his own death in June 2019 posting a picture of his body with photoshopped knife out of his back and words “stabbed in Instambul”.

Pozdnyakov is not a typical nazi but an agent provocateur who uses far-right rhetorics to gather money from his vast army of supporters. He was smart enough to run his online communities as a business machines and put himself in a center but his ideology is mainly about hating gays and woman and lack of any right-wing charm at all. His writings are dumb and aims at low-intellectual incels and misogynists.
