He left the AfD in February 2022.

Jörg Hubert Meuthen, born 1961, was since 1997 Professor for economics at the university of Kehl.
He joined the AfD in 2013.
Meuthen refers to the libertarian thinkers Ayn Rand, Roland Baader and Ludwig Mises.

From May 2016 till December 2017 he was member of parliament in the fereral state of Baden-Württemberg.
After January 2015 he was federal spokesperson of the AfD. From 2017 till 2019 he alliies with the fascist wing of his party („Der Flügel“).

In September 2018 he was speaker for the „Institut für Staatspolitik“ in Schnellroda.

In May 2019 he met Steve Bannon in Weimar.
