Jean-Yves Le Gallou

Jean-Yves Le Gallou is a former GRECE (Research and Study Group for European Civilization) member and a central person in the contemporary the metapolitical (national-liberal) sphere of the French far right, which leads a cultural battle outside of party-politics He is however a former executive of the Front National (FN) where he developed and spread a “national preference” concept, in line with his strong anti-immigration standpoint. He later joined Bruno Mégret and the Mouvement National Républicain (MNR), a split from the FN in 1998. He has been a regional elected representative (Ile de France, 1986-2004) and European member of Parliament under the banner of these parties (1994-1999).

Today, he is mostly active in far-right identitarian media and think tanks. In 1974, he founded Le Carrefour de l’Horloge (previously named Club de l’Horloge) together with Yvan Blot and Henry de Lesquen. In 2002 he founded Polémia, and in 2014 the Institut Iliade together with Bernard Lugan and Philippe Conrad.

He is one of one of the advocates of “remigration”, literally sending back immigrants to “their country”, a topic of predilection for the Identitarians.
