After being a close advisor of Marine Le Pen and then vice-president of the Front National, he split from the party in 2017 to create his own: Les Patriotes. He had to run for the presidential elections in 2022, but withdrew his candicacy.
He has previously been a regional elected representative (Grand Est) between 2016 and 2021, and an EU member of Parliament between 2014 and 2019.
