The magazine Zur Zeit, founded by Andreas Mölzer, then a member of the National Council for the FPÖ, labelled Adolf Hitler a ‘great social revolutionary’, among other things, which resulted in a one-year sentence under the Prohibition Act. In 2018, ex-Pegida spokesperson Georg Nagel described the politics of remembrance as ‘hostage-taking’ in Zur Zeit. Walter Seledec was editor of the newspaper until 2023, having worked his way down from ORF (state media) editor-in-chief to FPÖ district politician. Former editor-in-chief Wendelin Mölzer, son of Andreas Mölzer, has been a member of the National Council since 2013. Harald Vilimsky supported Zur Zeit financially with taxpayers’ money from the far-right EU parliamentary group ENF (Europe of Nations and Freedom), partly through adverts and partly through funding for flimsy studies.
