Richard Williamson, former Bishop of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) is known promoting Holocaust denial and extremely anti-Semitic views. He was expelled from SSPX for “[having distanced himself from the management and the government of the SSPX for several years and refusing to show due respect and obedience to his lawful superiors](https://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=16028&repos=4&subrepos=2&searchid=1706950)”, a decision the society described as “[painful](https://www.dici.org/en/news/communique-of-the-general-house-of-the-society-of-saint-pius-x-october-23-2012/)”. Williamson then founded Society of Saint Pius X Resistance (SSPXR) in 2012. SSPXR celebrate the Tridentine/Traditional Latin Mass and reject any modernism of the Catholic Church. Williamson was convicted of Holocaust denial by a German court in 2013.
