The ATF is part of the movement of the Turkish fascist Bozkurtlar („Grey Wolfes“), also known as „Ülkücü“ („Idealists“).
Since the 1970s the movement is also active in the Turkish community in Germany.
The ATF is the third biggest umbrella organisation of the Bozkurtlar in Germany.
It is the islamist offshot of the „Büyük Birlik Partisi“ (BBP) in the Turkey, founded 1994.

They are organised in 20 societies.
