Same group has been using both names. AME comes from the initials of “Independant Meandrian Nationalists”. Openly Nazi in ideology, they have used the C18 name from time to time since 2015 to 2018, when some members were arrested by police. Their group is responsible for attacks against Roma and vandalisms against Jewish cemeteries and political social spaces of the left. Their group follows the ideological lines set by Antonios Androutsopoulos (“Periandros”), a former member of GD, deputy of Michaloliakos and organizer of GD skinhead groups in the ‘90s – ‘00s.
