The EDD group is the first european parliamentary group project of the british UKIP and the beginning of the european career of Nigel Farage. The group was also the successing home for the danish and dutch parties of the former EN group as well as for a marginalized traditionalist french party. Later in the election period some few french souvereignist MEPs of the UEN I-group defected to the EDD.
