Mouvement pour la France

Mouvement pour la France is a political party created by Philippe de Villiers in 1994, which he presided until it disappeared in 2018. At the 2007 presidential elections, the party received 2,23% of the votes (4,74% in 1995). It is known as a conservative pro-French-sovereignty party, for the defense of the French identity against Islam and immigration, and consequently for its porosity and close ties with former FN members.

At the European level, the MPF had elected representatives between 2009 and 2014 part of the “Europe of Freedom and Democracy” group, which also included member of other nationalist European parties such as UKIP, Lega Nord and DF (Danish people’s party)
