Founded in 1968 by Pierre Sidos (1927-2020), a historical far-right figure (OAS, Occident). He presided the organisation until 2012, when Yvan Benedetti took over the leadership. The organisation was dissolved by the French government in 2013, following the death of the antifascist activist Clément Méric during a demonstration.
