Fundación Francisco Franco

The Francisco Franco National Foundation is a private institution that It was created in 1976 to spread the memory and work of the dictator Francisco Franco. It has legal personality as a cultural association. Its main activity is the management of the Archivo Francisco Franco , which contains some 30,000 documents representing the practically all of the documentation that passed through the hands of the dictator for 40 years: correspondence with other heads of state,
ministers and personalities both in Spain and abroad, reports confidential, different ministries and embassies, draft laws with handwritten annotations by Franco himself to the margin, etc.
Carmen Franco y Polo held the honorary presidency of the foundation until his death. She was succeeded by her grandson, great-grandson of the dictator, Luis Alfonso de Borbón. Its executive president is Juan Chicharro Ortega.
