Jean-Marie Le Pen is a far-right politician, one of the founders of Front National (FN) in 1972, which he presided until 2011, when his daughter Marine Le Pen took over the leadership of the party. He is known for a less-filtered racist, xenophobic and antisemitic discourse, which led to several convictions. Despite his exclusion from the party in 2015, he remained a Member of the EU Parliament until 2019. In 2016, he created the political party Comités Jeanne. He has said he would vote for Eric Zemmour if he would be in a leading in the 2022 elections polls compared to Marine Le Pen.
