Yiannis Zografos is a lawyer. Politically active as a member of the neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn, represented in court some of the defendants accused and finally convicted of leading the criminal organization.

Zografos followed Ioannis Lagos when he left Golden Dawn and founded his own ultra-nationalist party, National Popular Consciousness (ELASYN).

When a law was passed in 2021, barring parties whose officials have been convicted as leaders and/or members of a criminal organization from participating in elections, Zografos was appointed as president of ELASYN in Lagos’s place.
