Roman Zheleznov

Russia’s most famous Nazi, who fled to Ukraine, was humiliated by his comrades-in-arms and disgraced by being “written off from the right-wing movement”. He got his nickname after a ZyXEL modem. He got acquainted with Maxim “Tesak” Martsinkevich, and participated in anti-antifa activities, passing information about well-known anti-fascists to BORN (Combat Organization of Russian Nationalists) members. He served time twice: four years in prison for shooting an anti-fascist with a traumatic gun in 2009 and 10 months in prison for stealing a piece of marbled beef and lamb in 2013. In court, he pleaded guilty and expressed remorse, though he shouted afterward: “The court of history will acquit us!” In custody, he received a series of blows to the head with a hammer from another inmate and went deaf in one ear. After his release, he joined the WotanJugend and then left for Europe. After the events of 2014 he joined Azov as a propagandist. In 2017, a video appeared showing Zyxel being humiliated on camera by Ukrainian comrades-in-arms. After that, one of Russia’s most famous Nazis publicly renounced the movement and disappeared. According to some reports, he is now in hiding in Poland. In Russia, a criminal case was opened against Zyxel for mercenarism.
