Valentina Bobrova

Valentina Bobrova is a right wing politician and a head of a few nationalist organisations in Russia: National Conservative Movement, The Conservator Discussion Club and Conservator. Bobrova was considered a protégé of high-ranking priest Vsevolod Chaplin until he died in 2020. Nationalists from rival organisations consider Bobrova a pro-Putin agent.

She lived for many years in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Region, but moved to Moscow Region in 2014. Since 2016, she has tried to run for parliament in different regions as a self-nominated candidate and as a member of the Russian environmental party “The Greens”. She has also set up an environmental movement, Green Ribbon, to support struggle of the local population against the exploitation of copper-nickel ores in the Voronezh region. She and her second husband, Mikhail Ochkin, have since continued to exploit the environmental theme. In 2020, they set up a Special Investigation Centre to collect dirt and pressure on regional politicians. Texts on behalf of the centre are [published](https://www.ridus.ru/column/authors/165638) in dubious media outlets.

In 2015, created the National Patriotic Movement (NPD) Russian Peace to support the residents of Donbass, which then evolved into the National Conservative Movement, and a little later into Conservator. In all initiatives she acts together with her husband, the Russian nationalist Mikhail Ochkin. In 2022, she spoke out strongly against the outbreak of war in Ukraine and blamed Putin for what happened.
